Spring Celebration Success!

We braved the rain to celebrate spring in the mountains on May 7th!  Opening with a Chumash blessing by the Wishtoyo Foundation, over 100 guests joined us under the Sycamore trees at the Anthony C. Beilenson Visitor Center at King Gillette Ranch to enjoy delicious food, drink and convivial company.  Musicians Donna de Lory and Steps of Doe added to the festive atmosphere that helped us appreciate the beautiful Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area.  Senator Henry Stern and Assemblyman Richard Bloom acknowledged the importance of our honorees’ achievements in supporting these glorious mountains and open spaces. Follow this link to learn more about their individual contributions and about the three women who inspired the effort to save the Santa Monica Mountains. Thanks to our hard-working volunteers and everyone who helped make the event a success!

Without the help of the following businesses, companies and organizations, our celebration could not have happened. Supporting them helps them support us; with much appreciation we say THANKS to Calamigos Ranch, Saddlepeak Lodge, Bodegas Paso Robles, Woodland Hills Wine Company, California Kettle Corn, Brent’s Deli, Parks Project, Five Threads Brewing, GRoW @ Annenberg, Harmless Harvest, House Beer, Driscoll’s Berries, Rising Hearts Bakery, Dicks Sporting Goods, Raiman Rocks, Island Packers Tours, REI, Sky High, Cheesecake Factory, Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce, The Old Place, The Wildflour Cafe, Tom Harrison Maps, Santa Monica Mountains Cyclery, Mountains Press Publishing, Patagonia and Traditional Craft Kits inc.
