LA Times: Humans are the GreatesT peril to mountain Lions

The sad truth is that Californian mountain lions are more likely to die by human causes such as deaths by vehicle strikes, poisoning by rodenticides and permitted killings, than die of natural causes. 

However, there may be a glimmer of hope for these beautiful predators. Attitudes of humans to preservation can alter the picture.
