Date Night Drive-In: let’s restore the ranch!

The first Date Night Drive-In at Paramount Ranch welcomed 500 people 2/13/21 to watch the sparkling rom-com, Steve Martin’s L.A. Story on the 30th anniversary of its release in theaters. And a sprinkling of stardust joined the fun. Actors Jane Seymour and Joe Lando, who starred in Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman, reminisced about their experiences filming at the Ranch over seven years, and their love for the place.

This event kicked off The Paramount Project, the campaign to raise $2m to re-build the movie sets at Paramount Ranch. The funds raised will complete the NPS project to restore buildings from the historic period of the Ranch 1927-1943 when Paramount Studios owned and operated the property, and facilities such as water and power. The movie sets will help create the streetscape that brings to life the story of movie-making at Paramount Ranch over nearly 100 years. https://samofund.org/paramount-project
