Santa Monica Mountains Fund is partnering with both the County and the City of Los Angeles to engage our local community in the development of Urban Forest Management Plans. These plans will guide future decisions about urban forests.

SAMO Fund became a community partner to make sure our friends and supporters’ voices are heard!

We will be hosting a neighborhood workshop with LAUFMP team members, so you may share community recommendations for the care for trees and the expansion of neighborhood forests. The County and City will facilitate an approximate one hour workshop to gather public input. Immediately thereafter, there will be a Q&A Presentation by National Park Service Ecologist Joey Algiers about native trees and plants propagated and planted in the Santa Monica Mountains.
