100,000 new Plants in the SANTA MONICA Mountains

March 26, 2023

Over two years…

Over 3,000 volunteers…

A huge goal reached…

100,000 native plants planted across five sites in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area (goal reached Saturday March 25, 2023)!

The goal was to replace many of the trees that were lost in the 2018 Woolsey Fire. It was funded jointly by Santa Monica Mountains Fund, Snap Incorporated, and Re: Wild.
