Deanna, Executive Director of SAMO Fund, recently participated in the inaugural Ventura County Community Foundation’s (VCCF) Educational Series on Animal Welfare.
This tour included a number of notable organizations such as the Girl Scouts of California’s Central Coast’s Monarch Breeding and Research Institute, the Ojai Raptor Center, the Humane Society of Ventura County, and the California Coastal Horse Rescue.
Santa Monica Mountains Fund is a two time recipient of funding through the Animal Welfare program at VCCF. The funding has supported internships for wildlife research in the Santa Monica Mountains.
