Did you know that there are more than 500 miles of horse trails in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area? There are plentiful opportunities to get out on the trails whether you are a novice, or experienced rider. There is even an equestrian campground.
As a SAMO Employee, Connor Hallmark has a special role in the National Park Service (NPS) Horse program. Conner works with Law Enforcement Division under the Equestrian Program responsible for barn and stable management, volunteer coordination, feeding, general care and more.
Our horses, Gunner, Blue and Cache are all patrol horses under Conner’s care.
