NATIVE PLANT STEWARD PROGRAM
🌱Join SAMO Fund’s First-Ever Native Plant Steward Program!
In partnership with North East Trees and LA Conservation Corps, this opportunity invites you to connect with native plants and gain hands-on experience in their care, species identification, and best practices.
Applications are open until April 18th—apply below for a chance to be selected! Please apply only if you can commit to full participation. Those who complete the program will earn a Native Plant Steward Certification from SAMO Fund.
About the Program

During this six week program, you will gain the skills to grow and care for native species used in restoration projects and community giveaways. In total, the course consists of 6 hours of lecture classes and 18 hours of hands-on nursery work. These classes and hands-on experiences dive into fundamental nursery operations, seed collection and propagation methods, and key plant knowledge.

Accepted applicants will be expected to be in attendance at every class. Please only apply if you know you are available and able to attend every session.
