SAMO Youth benefits from the National Park Foundation Service Corps Grant

SAMO Youth celebrated its 25th Anniversary this summer and we wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the National Park Foundation. Without the National Park Foundation Service Corps Grant, SAMOYouth would not be the outstanding and continuously evolving program it is today.

Every year a cohort of individuals aged 18- 25  from surrounding communities are selected to join the SAMO Youth crew for eight weeks; the competition for these places is intense. The program introduces these young adults to environmental professions with the Santa Monica Mountains National Park Service and local organizations that emphasize stewardship, conservation, and the importance of public service.

Thank you National Park Foundation for supporting the SAMO Youth program that inspires youth and increases diversity within the National Park Service.
